Teacher Perceptions about School Complaints of Subsequent Technical Course Students in Instituto Federal de Educación Campus Alcantara: Proposal in the Development of Instructional Teaching Materials

Abstract

This study addresses the perception of teachers of Vocational and Technological Education, the subsequent educational modality of the course in Accommodation, IFMA Campus Alcântara, of the school complaints presented by their students in the classroom. Therefore, as a method, we used the qualitative approach research, which was carried out in two parts: bibliographic and field, where the results were analyzed in the light of the theory of social representations and through Bardin content analysis. The study was attended by teachers from various disciplines based at IFMA Campus Alcântara, all teachers of the subsequent technical course in accommodation, in the year 2019. It is noticed that it is necessary in the context analyzed, the construction of an appropriate school environment, awareness and teacher training, for the application of differentiated teaching strategies, as well as a project that enables the effective presence of the family of students who have school complaints, as well as specific follow-up programs to be developed together with specialized professionals who are part of staff (psychologists, educators, social workers). The research contributes to a broader reflection on the theme of teacher perception of school failure, as well as the recognition and appreciation of this complaint in the field of education, improving the dialogue between the different actors involved.
