There are best universities and colleges that any foreign student can choose which academic program s/he wants to take. This paper aims to share the plight of foreign students regardless of nationality or country of origin in terms of language, values, customs and traditions, and the like. The paper highlights the issues of language barriers that foreign students and classroom instructors or teachers have experienced. Mixed methods research were used to gain the comprehensive results of the study. Results show that language barriers during classroom instruction and discussions obstruct the delivery of knowledge, values, local customs and traditions. It infers that lack of preparation in terms of Filipino language (because their courses/subjects in the curriculum in Filipino) prior to formal schooling greatly affects the learning output of the foreign students.
