Abstract
This research investigates the seamless integration of faith across diverse academic disciplines in a faith-based university, encompassing mathematics, technology, engineering, medicine, graphic arts, communication, literature, sociology, and psychology. It addresses the expectations and perceptions of students attending a faith-based institution, emphasizing non-didactic and inclusive integration that resonates with various Christian denominations and traditions. Employing mixed-methods, including interviews, surveys, and content analysis, participants from multiple departments, including students, faculty, and administrators, contribute to the study. Key findings highlight the importance of fostering an environment of open dialogue and respect for diverse faith perspectives. Successful integration is characterized by embedding ethical considerations, moral frameworks, and values-based approaches within course content. Faculty development programs emerge as crucial for equipping educators to effectively integrate faith into their teaching. The research underscores how faith integration enhances critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and holistic personal development in students. It advocates for acknowledging the spiritual dimension of education while respecting students’ autonomy to engage with faith in ways that align with their beliefs. By providing practical recommendations, this study supports universities in harmonizing faith and education, offering inclusive and meaningful experiences for students of diverse Christian backgrounds. The findings can potentially inform policies, curriculum development, and pedagogical practices in faith-based higher education institutions worldwide.
