Abstract
Pakistani literature has long been a reflection of the nation’s collective psyche, exploring themes that resonate deeply with the human experience. This study examines the role of Pakistani literature in promoting mental health, catharsis, and well-being in society. Through a critical analysis of various literary works, this research highlights the significance of positivity, Sufi approach, hope, enlightenment, and care for humanity in Pakistani literature. Pakistani literature is replete with examples of positivity, emphasizing resilience, optimism, and hope in the face of adversity. Sufi poetry, in particular, offers a unique perspective on spiritual growth, love, and self-awareness, providing a therapeutic outlet for readers. The works of renowned poets like Rumi, Ghalib, and Faiz Ahmad Faiz exemplify the Sufi approach, promoting emotional balance and inner peace. This study demonstrates that Pakistani literature serves as a catalyst for catharsis, allowing readers to process their emotions and experiences through the power of storytelling. By exploring themes of hope, enlightenment, and care for humanity, Pakistani literature fosters a sense of community and social responsibility, contributing to the well-being of society.In conclusion, Pakistani literature plays a vital role in promoting mental health, catharsis, and well-being in the 21st century. By embracing the positivity, Sufi approach, and humanitarian themes present in Pakistani literature, readers can cultivate emotional resilience, empathy, and a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
