Abstract
The research is approached from an epistemological perspective, analyzing the philosophical and theoretical foundations of the knowledge it seeks to generate. The case study is in the indigenous community of Cruz Pinta, El Fuerte, Sinaloa, Mexico, where the elementary school Pedro Bainori, attended by children of the Mayo-Yoreme ethnic group is located. The objective of this study is to understand the ways in which the phenomenon of the case study is represented. Its justification and relevance are based on the need to establish prevention strategies to end the violence. The agreement on the sustainable development goals established by the World Health Organization (WHO) is observed at the World Ministerial Conference in November 2024, where the main theme was the eradication of violence against children. More than 100 governments participated in this event, implementing actions to end violence and protect children. Furthermore, Universal Declaration of Human Rights stipulates that every child has the right to health and that school and government authorities are obliged to guarantee a safe environment for children, free from all types of violence. The methodology applied is qualitative, with an ethnographic approach, based on grounded theory, and uses the participatory observation method. Knowledge is constructed from the local level. From an epistemological perspective, the study contributes to the social sciences, offers visibility into the current reality of the original native groups in the study area, establishes strategies for the prevention of bullying, and opens new lines of research.
