Abstract
As digital technologies increasingly permeate educational landscapes, this paper explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into arts pedagogy, focusing on how AI can enhance cognitive, intuitive, and collaborative learning. Drawing from my experience as an AI researcher and filmmaking professor, I analyze the transformative potential of AI-driven tools in teaching and learning artistic disciplines. This study examines how AI fosters cognitive growth by providing personalized, adaptive feedback that supports both technical skills and creative exploration. AI tools, such as generative algorithms for storytelling and virtual environments for immersive, experiential learning, help students develop their intuitive understanding of artistic processes by offering real-time simulations of complex scenarios. Furthermore, AI promotes collaboration in arts education, enabling students and educators to work together in dynamic, interactive spaces. Through interdisciplinary workshops and collaborative projects, students engage with AI not just as a tool, but as a creative partner, enhancing their collaborative skills and broadening their artistic visions. The paper also addresses the challenges of integrating AI into arts curricula, particularly in maintaining cultural authenticity, ensuring ethical practices, and providing equitable access to AI technologies. By focusing on cognitive, intuitive, and collaborative aspects of arts learning, the research underscores the importance of AI-enhanced frameworks that empower both educators and students. These frameworks bridge the gap between technical expertise and creative expression, fostering an educational environment where technology and artistry coexist, and where students are equipped to navigate the evolving intersections of AI and the arts.
