The Language of Andean Resistance and Cultural Roots : Glú Ekerekedá and Churata - Complementary Works of Omar Aramayo's Literary Quest

Abstract

In this paper, I focus on the evolution of Omar Aramayo’s quest to unravel Andean identity. Through the study of his fiesta and last work there seems to be a dialogue between the subconscious and unexplored states of language, such as gibberish which the dadaism movement valued, while Churata seems to represent exactly the opposite. The study reveals the intensity of poetic cosmic and mythical time and unravels key elements of this writer’s sense of life.
