What is Happening to Me?
Abstract
The continual decline in health and well-being in society is a concern for society and particularly for educators and health instructors. This paper is concerned with maturing women and the implications for their active participation as bodily changes may become hindrances and obstacles to health and well-being. A review of the literature on ageing for mid-life women is used to gain an overview of the changes and their implications for initiation, maintenance and/or continuance of sports participation. This is further explored through a female lens and the narrative of a female educator and health and well-being instructor.
