Abstract

Este estudio aborda el transhumanismo desde la perspectiva de los proyectos y programas de mejoramiento humano (MH), las tecnologías NBIC (neurociencia, biotecnología, informática y ciencias cognitivas), así como la ingeniería social (IS) desarrollada y aplicada por el Instituto Tavistock (IT), la Escuela de Frankfurt (EdF) y la Fundación Rockefeller (FR). Contribuciones intelectuales, reportes y documentos oficiales de las organizaciones citadas fundamentan las fuentes primarias para este estudio. Los hallazgos principales reflejan que las tecnologías convergentes NBIC, en conjunto con la programación predictiva que permite la IS a través de las tecnologías de comunicación, el Internet de las cosas (IoT) y el Internet de los cuerpos (IoB), están haciendo avanzar el transhumanismo como movimiento político a nivel global y como eje culminante de la era en que vivimos. Las tecnologías facilitan la revolución tecnocultural que estamos experimentando, mientras que la IS contribuye al reordenamiento societal que implica el control social. Ambos vectores se traducen en la creación de una sociedad digital polarizada: la del humano 4.0 o transhumano y la del Homo sapiens, este último quedando desplazado por el propio sistema o tecnoparadigma. [This study examines transhumanism from the perspective of human enhancement (HE) projects and programs, NBIC technologies (neuroscience, biotechnology, information technology, and cognitive sciences), as well as social engineering (SE) as developed and applied by the Tavistock Institute, the Frankfurt School, and the Rockefeller Foundation. Intellectual contributions, reports, and official documents from the aforementioned organizations constitute the primary sources for this study. The main findings reflect that convergent NBIC technologies, combined with the predictive programming enabled by SE through communication technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the Internet of Bodies (IoB), are advancing transhumanism both as a global political movement and as the culminating axis of the era in which we live. Technologies facilitate the technocultural revolution that we are experiencing, while SE contributes to the societal reorganization that social control implies. Both vectors ultimately lead to the creation of a polarized digital society: that of the human 4.0 or transhuman and that of Homo sapiens, the latter being displaced by the system or technoparadigm itself].
