Abstract

En esta introducción del Volumen 4, Número 2 de la Revista Internacional del Arte en la Sociedad, la autora Helena Barranha reflexiona sobre el papel de la creación artística como espacio crítico y transformador en un contexto global marcado por crisis económicas, sanitarias, climáticas, tecnológicas y migratorias. Este número reúne investigaciones sobre la representación de las comunidades migrantes en la cultura visual, la responsabilidad social y ética del diseño gráfico en entornos digitales, el artivismo frente a la destrucción de los recursos hídricos y la relación entre creación artística y conciencia ecológica, las cuales coinciden en destacar el valor del arte como herramienta de sensibilización, denuncia y acción. Asimismo, el número aspira a promover una mirada interdisciplinaria y humanista que sitúe la práctica artística como motor de reflexión, compromiso social y esperanza frente a la incertidumbre contemporánea. [In this introduction to Volume 4, Issue 2 of the Revista Internacional del Arte en la Sociedad, author Helena Barranha reflects on the role of artistic creation as a critical and transformative space within a global context marked by economic, health, climate, technological, and migratory crises. This issue brings together research on the representation of migrant communities in visual culture, the social and ethical responsibility of graphic design in digital environments, artivism in response to the destruction of water resources, and the relationship between artistic creation and ecological consciousness. These contributions converge in underscoring the value of art as a tool for awareness, critique, and action.
