Abstract

Motives are of a major importance in profession choice and they do not only dominate the social status but the success of the individual carrier. In this study all those factors that had a substantial influence on Greek Technological Institute students in relation to their education choice and particular to the choice of the study department during the academic year 2006-07are explored.The results of Correspondence Factor Analysis and Path Analysis reveal that those factors concerns family, scholar and social environment, MME, the professional prospects, the object of the studies, the city where the foundation is stated and finally the entrance examination grades.
